Vidhi

The Brihaspati Vrat is observed on Brihaspativar (Thursday) and is dedicated to Brihaspati Dev, the planet Jupiter. Devotees ideally wear yellow-coloured clothes and use yellow sandalwood during the puja ceremony. Food is taken only once during the day. The meal consists of yellow pulses such as skinless yellow split moong dal or skinless chana dal. The colour yellow is dedicated to Brihaspativar.

बृहस्पति व्रत बृहस्पतिवार (गुरुवार) को रखा जाता है और यह बृहस्पति देव, यानी बृहस्पति ग्रह को समर्पित है। भक्त आमतौर पर पीले वस्त्र पहनते हैं और पूजा में पीले चंदन का प्रयोग करते हैं। दिन में केवल एक बार भोजन किया जाता है, जिसमें छिलका रहित मूंग दाल या चना दाल जैसी पीली दालें होती हैं। पीला रंग बृहस्पतिवार को समर्पित है।
