Krishna Avatar
Lord Krishna is the most famous and highly respected Hindu mythology god. He is the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu. Lord Krishna played a significant role in the epic Mahabharata. Mahabharata includes Krishna's conversation with his disciple Arjuna during the famous battle between Kauravas and Pandavas. The conversation is turned into a holy book called Bhagawad Gita.
The saga of Lord Krishna as per the Vishnu Puranas is as follows:
Lord Krishna was born into the Yadava community. He was the son of Vasudeva and Devaki, the king of Mathura, Kansa. According to a prophecy, Lord Krishna was born to kill King Kansa. Therefore, Vasudeva smuggled his son to Nand in Gokula to protect him from King Kansa, who wanted to kill his nephew to save his own life. Lord Krishna was brought by the leader of cowherds, Nand, and his wife Yashodha in Gokula. The childhood of Lord Krishna is full of stories of his mischievous and naughty pranks and events that showed his divine and holy nature. He was popular among the gopis of Vrindavan, especially Radha. Radha and Lord Krishna grew up together. Their story is of eternal love and is romanticized as Rasa Leela.
When Lord Krishna returned to his original birthplace, Mathura, he killed the dictator, King Kansa. He also became a close friend of Pandava prince Arjuna. Lord Krishna was married to Rukmini. During the Kurukshetra battle, narrated in Mahabharata, Lord Krishna supported Pandavas on the condition that he would not raise any weapon.
As the war continued, Arjuna was disturbed by his family member's demise, and he put down his weapons. Lord Krishna then suggested to him the war and its consequences, Karma, the purpose of life and death, and Dharma's power. This discussion between Lord Krishna and Arjuna extended into a discourse that was later compiled into Bhagawad Gita.
Lord Krishna is regarded as the conveyor of peace and tranquillity. He had a significant effect on the battle and its repercussions. He was the peace bearer who was there to bring an end to the long struggle between Kauravas and Pandavas.

भगवान कृष्ण हिंदू पौराणिक कथाओं के सबसे प्रसिद्ध और उच्च सम्मानित देवता हैं। वह भगवान विष्णु के आठवें अवतार हैं। महाकाव्य महाभारत में भगवान कृष्ण ने महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई थी। महाभारत में कौरवों और पांडवों के बीच प्रसिद्ध युद्ध के दौरान अपने शिष्य अर्जुन के साथ कृष्ण की बातचीत आज भी प्रचलित है। बातचीत को भगवद गीता नामक एक पवित्र पुस्तक में बदल दिया गया है। विष्णु पुराणों के अनुसार भगवान कृष्ण की गाथा इस प्रकार है।
भगवान कृष्ण का जन्म यादव समुदाय में हुआ था। वह मथुरा के राजा कंस की बहन, वासुदेव और देवकी के पुत्र थे। एक भविष्यवाणी के अनुसार, भगवान कृष्ण का जन्म राजा कंस को मारने के लिए हुआ था। इसलिए, वासुदेव ने अपने पुत्र को राजा कंस से बचाने के लिए गोकुला में नंद के पास भेज दिया। भगवान कृष्ण को गोकुला में चरवाहों के नेता, नंद और उनकी पत्नी यशोधा द्वारा पाला गया था। भगवान कृष्ण का बचपन उनके शरारती घटनाओं की कहानियों से भरा है, जिन्होंने उनके ईश्वरीय और पवित्र स्वभाव को दिखाया। वह वृंदावन की गोपियों के बीच लोकप्रिय थे, खासकर राधा। राधा और भगवान कृष्ण एक साथ बड़े हुए। उनकी कहानी शाश्वत प्रेम की है और रास लीला के रूप में प्रचलित है।
जब भगवान कृष्ण अपने मूल जन्मस्थान, मथुरा लौट आए, तो उन्होंने तानाशाह राजा कंस का वध कर दिया। वह पांडव राजकुमार, अर्जुन के करीबी मित्र भी बन गयें। भगवान कृष्ण का विवाह रुक्मिणी से हुआ था। महाभारत में वर्णित कुरुक्षेत्र युद्ध के दौरान, भगवान कृष्ण ने पांडवों को इस शर्त पर समर्थन दिया था कि वह अपने हथियार नहीं उठाएंगे।
युद्ध जारी रहने के कारण, अर्जुन अपने परिवार के सदस्यों के निधन से परेशान था, और उसने अपने हथियार डाल दिए। तब भगवान कृष्ण ने उन्हें युद्ध और उसके परिणामों, कर्म, जीवन और मृत्यु के उद्देश्य और धर्म की शक्ति के बारे में उपदेश दिया। भगवान कृष्ण और अर्जुन के बीच यह चर्चा एक प्रवचन में विस्तारित हुई जिसे बाद में भगवद गीता में संकलित किया गया। भगवान कृष्ण को शांति का वाहक माना जाता है। युद्ध और उसके नतीजों पर उनका महत्वपूर्ण प्रभाव था।
